Heavy rainfall. Risk of flash flood, flooding of low-lying areas, flooding of basements, water on roads and viaducts (aquaplaning), and reduced visibility. Heavy thunderstorms involve a risk of fires, failure in electric systems, and many false alarms from automatic systems. Category 1: Hail- and thunderstorms, rainfall and flash flood. 15 to 25 mm rain in 30 min. and wind gusts between 15 and 20 m/s.
