Special Weather Statement issued May 20 at 4:38AM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK At 438 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm 3 miles west of Shamrock, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations in or near the path include... Bristow... Drumright... Depew... Shamrock... This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 182 and 197. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 600 AM CDT for northeastern Oklahoma.
