Flood Watch issued April 29 at 6:58PM AKDT until May 2 at 12:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK * WHAT...The Yukon River between the Forty Mile River and Eagle is beginning to break up with an ice jam reported 23 miles upstream of Eagle. * WHERE...THE Yukon River near Eagle. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Water levels are steadily rising on the Yukon River at Eagle and Dawson from snowmelt. An ice jam was reported 23 miles upriver of Eagle with water levels upstream from this jam up approximately 10 feet since yesterday.
