The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 250 and 251. * TIMING...From noon to 9 PM MDT Tuesday. * WINDS...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 8 at 9:32PM MDT until June 8 at 10:00PM MDT by NWS Denver CO At 932 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southeast of Hugo, or 23 miles southeast of Limon, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Hugo. Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing dangerous hail and damaging winds.
