Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered storms capable of heavy rainfall rates will continue to move east over southern IN and portions of northern KY through the early to mid morning hours. Blue River at Fredericksburg affecting Harrison and Washington Counties. .Heavy rain from the past 24 hours will cause the river to rise. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Blue River at Fredericksburg. * WHEN...From this morning to late this afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water covers parts of Fredericksburg-Depauw Road near river. At 22.0 feet, Backroads in town flood. Water approaches US 150. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:30 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 19.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.8 feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late this morning. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.0 feet on 06/27/2013. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
