Flash Flood Warning issued June 8 at 7:30AM CDT until June 8 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS At 730 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported continued flooding over numerous roadways across the warned area. Between 3 and 7.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Parsons, Chanute, Erie, St. Paul, Galesburg, Earlton, Lake Parsons, South Mound, Dennis and Chanute Airport. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
