In south central Kansas, Barber, Comanche, Edwards, Kiowa, Pawnee, Pratt and Stafford. In southwest Kansas, Clark, Finney, Ford, Grant, Gray, Hamilton, Haskell, Hodgeman, Kearny, Meade, Morton, Seward, Stanton and Stevens. In west central Kansas, Lane, Ness, Scott and Trego. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported water over several roads in Pratt. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pratt, Iuka, Preston, Sawyer, Cullison, Isabel, Coats, Byers, Cairo and Hopewell. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Stream overflows narrowly on the left bank and more broadly on the right bank. Stream is approximately 260 ft wide at this stage. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 4.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 9.1 feet this evening.
