Flood Watch issued June 21 at 11:06AM CDT until June 21 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Adams IL, Brown IL, Calhoun IL and Pike IL and Missouri, including the following areas, Audrain MO, Boone MO, Callaway MO, Cole MO, Gasconade MO, Lincoln MO, Moniteau MO, Montgomery MO, Osage MO, Pike MO and Warren MO. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall moving over the same locations could produce flash flooding. Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts up to 6 inches possible. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Flood Advisory issued June 21 at 10:59AM CDT until June 21 at 12:15PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Boone County in central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 1215 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1059 AM CDT, Emergency management reported water on roadways in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. While the heavy rainfall has largely ended, it will take time for water to recede. - Continue to be mindful of road closures and absolutely do not drive into areas where water covers the road to an unknown depth. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, Centralia, Ashland, Columbia Regional Airport, Hallsville, Sturgeon, Rocheport, Midway, Murry, Easley, Harrisburg, Hartsburg, Lupus, McBaine and Wilton. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
