For the Extreme Heat Warning, from 11 AM to 7 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Flood Advisory issued July 20 at 2:40PM CDT until July 20 at 5:45PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Butler County in southeastern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 240 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Poplar Bluff, Neelyville, Qulin, Fisk, Harviell, Hendrickson, Milltown, Brush Arbor and Rombauer. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
