Flood Watch issued July 10 at 11:20AM CDT until July 11 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Illinois, including the following area, Randolph IL and Missouri, including the following areas, Crawford MO, Iron MO, Madison MO, Reynolds MO, Saint Francois MO, Sainte Genevieve MO and Washington MO. * WHEN...Through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast through the day on Saturday. Any storm will be capable of producing heavy rainfall. The biggest concern for additional flash flooding is in areas that saw the most rain last night into early this morning. Up to 6-12+" of rain fell in a northwest to southeast axis from southern Crawford through northeast Reynolds, western and southern Iron, and southwest Madison counties. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Saint Francois County in southeastern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 345 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1252 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 2 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Farmington, Desloge, Fredericktown, Bismarck, Leadwood, Park Hills, Iron Mountain Lake, Irondale, Junction City, Cobalt, Knob Lick, Roselle, Iron Mountain, Leadington, Caledonia, Doe Run, Catherine Place, Libertyville, Mine La Motte and Frankclay. - This includes the following State Parks... St. Joe State Park and Missouri Mines Historic Site. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
