Northwestern Cole County in central Missouri... Northeastern Moniteau County in central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 100 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1006 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbia, Jefferson City, California, Ashland, Columbia Regional Airport, St. Martins, Jamestown, Centertown, Rocheport, Easley, McGirk, Midway, Marion, Lohman, Hartsburg, Lupus, McBaine, Sandy Hook, Wilton and Kliever. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
