Sherman County in central Nebraska... Northeastern Buffalo County in south central Nebraska... Clay County in south central Nebraska... Fillmore County in south central Nebraska... Hall County in south central Nebraska... Southern Hamilton County in south central Nebraska... Northern Nuckolls County in south central Nebraska... Northern Thayer County in south central Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several more hours for excessive runoff to fully recede back into ditches and to within the banks of various small creeks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1156 AM CDT, Numerous automated and manual rain gauges confirmed that most of the Warning area received a widespread 2.5 to 4.5 inches of rain on Saturday into early Sunday morning, resulting in continued flooding of various small creeks and some rural roads per reports from area emergency management. Although water continues to gradually recede, it will likely take several more hours for truly significant improvement to occur in some rural areas. Fortunately, only minimal additional rain, mainly less than one-quarter inch in most places, is anticipated over the next 24 hours, which will aid in excessive water being able to further recede as it works its way into larger/primary creeks and rivers across the area. - This includes, but is not limited to the following streamsand drainages... Davis Creek, Prairie Creek, South Fork Big Sandy Creek, School Creek, Buffalo Creek, Oak Creek, Silver Creek, West Fork Big Blue River, Wood River, Little Sandy Creek, Turkey Creek, Sherman Reservoir Area, Rock Creek, Moores Creek, Dry Sandy Creek, Lincoln Creek, Walnut Creek, North Branch West Fork Big Blue River, Big Sandy Creek, Deer Creek and Cedar Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include, mainlyrural areas near... Grand Island, St. Paul, Geneva, Sutton, Ravenna, Wood River, Shelton, Loup City, Harvard, Doniphan, Cairo, Clay Center, Alda, Exeter, Fairmont, Edgar, Fairfield, Giltner, Shickley and Dannebrog. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
