Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected for Saturday into Saturday night. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Toms River, Beachwood, Lakehurst, Holiday City-Berkeley, Leisure Village West-Pine Lake Park, Holiday City South, Pleasant Plains, Pine Ridge At Crestwood, Leisure Village, Leisure Village East, Whiting and South Toms River. This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 80 and 88. Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
