Tornado Watch issued June 27 at 3:07PM MDT until June 27 at 11:00PM MDT by NWS Rapid City SD THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 406 IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN SOUTH DAKOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 11 COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA BUTTE HARDING PERKINS IN SOUTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA BENNETT JACKSON OGLALA LAKOTA IN WEST CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA HAAKON LAWRENCE MEADE PENNINGTON ZIEBACH THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALLEN, BILLSBURG, BISON, BUFFALO, DEADWOOD, DOWNTOWN BELLE FOURCHE, DUPREE, FAITH, HILL CITY, KADOKA, KIRLEY, KYLE, LACREEK WILDLIFE REFUGE, LEAD, LEMMON, MARTIN, MILESVILLE, OGLALA, PHILIP, PINE RIDGE, RAPID CITY, SPEARFISH, STURGIS, TUTHILL, UNION CENTER, AND WALL. THIS INCLUDES THE TRIBAL LANDS OF THE CHEYENNE RIVER RESERVATION AND THE PINE RIDGE RESERVATION.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 27 at 6:16PM MDT until June 27 at 6:30PM MDT by NWS Rapid City SD At 616 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from over Summerset to over Pinnacles Ranger Station, or along a line from 12 miles north of Rapid City to 30 miles west of Philip, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail. SOURCE...Public reported. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Wall, New Underwood, Wasta, Scenic, Quinn, Owanka, Elm Springs, Wicksville, Farmingdale, Folsom, Creighton, Caputa, Hereford, Grindstone, Curlew Lake, Railroad Buttes, Sheep Mountain Table, Viewfield, northwestern Badlands National Park and Pinnacles Ranger Station. This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 70 and 120. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms have produced damaging winds. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM MDT Saturday for portions of southwest and west central South Dakota.
