Northeastern Mercer County in southeastern West Virginia... * Until 400 PM EDT. * At 256 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Ellison, or near Pipestem, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Hinton... Rainelle... Alderson... Rupert... Quinwood... Renick... and Sandstone. Prepare immediately for damaging winds, as well as frequent cloud to ground lightning. For your safety, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
